What is Hobnailers?

hob·nail (häb′nāl′) noun
a short nail with a broad head, put on the soles of heavy shoes to prevent wear or slipping

Founded in 1977, Hobnailers is a student-run outdoor adventure club at the Univeristy of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.

What we do?

We Play Outside!

We strive to provide UWEC students with opportunities to experience nature and the outdoors.

The club's regular activities include rock climbing, paddling, camping, paintballing, XC skiing, downhill skiing/snowboarding and backpacking.

All members are encouraged to attend meetings and learn practical outdoor skills. Our goal is for members to be able to help organize and lead trips.
